Selling Several Websites: Auction 1

Posted in: General by Tim Schroeder

I’ve decided to sell about 5 of my existing websites to free up more time on some other new and existing projects.

The first website will be my Personal Finance Blog which currently makes about $605 in monthly revenue.

I’ve just listed it on SitePoint so act fast if you are interested. I’ll be answering any questions about that blog over on SitePoint.

WOW How many sites do you have? BIN is at $15,000 .. Definitely I will keep track closely on your auction. Who knows there might be a great bargain :)

A bunch. :)

I’m probably going to sell about 5 additional websites. Most of them are small earners with the exception of one of them in which I would probably sell for no less than $60,000 (it’s not WT forum).

It’s funny how someone places a $10 bid on a blog that is making $600+ a month.

You mean you’re not going to accept that $10 bid?

I think it means he reserves the right not to sell if it doesn’t meet a minimum asking price (which is not listed).

I was just being sarcastic. I didn’t expect Tim would sell for $10.

Interesting one. What is very interesting is the revenue you report for a 3k monthly unique visitors. Good one.

My Buy-Now offer has been met. Looks like I’m off to a good start. :)

Good luck with the sale. The site is actually quite a good buy, but I must admit im surprised that you got your BIN price.

The price should be Monthly income x one year (12 months) so it should be $6605, but as you can is it is already $12000, I can consider it as luck.

Looks like a pretty good deal. I just started posting to SP. Of coarse it all depends on what you have to offer, but is it fairly easy to sell domains/sites there?

Good luck with it!

Did the person actually buy it? You got the money? $12,000 is a nice chunk of change! I just to know how SitePoint is for selling sites.

Congrats!
