I think I’m going to make some changes to eMonetized and shift this blog in a new direction. I’d love to hear any input you might have. If you want to follow what I’m doing on a more daily basis, I’ve been having a lot of fun micro blogging on Twitter. You can follow me on Twitter here. I also purchased the domain TimSchroeder.com from a domain reseller which I’m going to use for something. I may turn that domain into my new main blog.
Here are a couple possible ideas I had for eMonetized.com
1. A Product and Service Review type blog
I review various affiliate products and services and give honest reviews on if they are crap or actually worth the price. This would entail myself actually buying the product or service and giving in-depth review with some screenshots. It’s amazing how often people recommend products without ever even trying them.
2. An Advertising / Internet Marketing Case Studies blog
Basically I buy ads (banners, text links, reviews etc) on other blogs and ad networks and share the results. You’ll learn which websites and services have the potential to send you the most traffic.
What do you think?
While I decide which direction to take this blog and/or timschroeder.com, check out these recommended affiliate networks:
1. Advaliant

Why? Really Nice Exclusives. Network contests. Alla La.
2. Market Leverage

Why? Best Referral Program. High default offer payouts. They sent me some really cool stuff!
3. CX Digital

Why? I made $4700 in 1 day with CX Digital. Nate’s a cool dude.
4. Hydra Network

Why? They seem to have the most new daily offers. High default payouts.
5. PepperJam Network

Not really a CPA network but their a great alternative to CJ. $10 signup bonus.

I’ll keep this short and to the point. Blog Mastermind has just reopened it’s doors. Yaro Starak of Blog Mastermind does a far better job selling his service than I would. I’ll just say that this is supposed to be THE service to purchase if you want to learn how to make a living by blogging.
It may already be too late but Yaro is giving three fantastic bonuses to the first 100 people who are extra keen and join Blog Mastermind first thing today.
The bonuses are cutting edge interviews and videos on three very important topics related to your blogging business.

I’m back from a two-week vacation to the beach (Boca Grande, FL) and a long brake from blogging. A few days after I returned, a big FedEx box arrived on my front porch. From who you ask?
Who else than from the marketing geniuses and also my new best friends… The Market Leverage Affiliate Network Crew!! Thank You!

Market Leverage rocks! And a special thanks to the super-cool Market Leverage Marketing manager, Dina Riccobono. We all know that building relationships is important and they have definitely started off on my good side. No matter how much money I make, I’ll also be the type of guy that likes a good deal or even better, free stuff!
What did Market Leverage send me?
1. A sweet Flip Video Camera!
2. A Flip Video Tripod!

By the way, Market Leverage is giving away a lifetime referral bonus for each Publisher you refer to their network! Earn (5%) five percent of the commission for each and every Publisher you refer that signs up as a Market Leverage Publisher.

In any case, this is big news for the internet marketing, SEO, and Affiliate Marketing industries.
Chad from CDF Networks wrote an interesting post about why he does not post screenshots. It actually had me second thinking posting some of my own CX Digital screenshots. Here is another new screenshot which shows my first $4,000 day with CX Digital (i’ll explain why I posted this below):

I Posted That Screenshot To Try and Make A Couple Points:
1. I STILL THINK SCREENSHOTS SERVE A PURPOSE AS INSPIRATION.
A few months ago I never thought I would be making $4,000+ a day in revenue from one network. Like I’ve mentioned before, when I see other people’s screenshots it inspires me to work harder. It shows me the possibilities. I believe I can do better than you. You should believe that you can do better than me. I figure that If they can do it then I CAN do it.
Believe me, I’ve had a lot of failures along the way and I still have failed ppc campaigns all the time. “Failed” campaigns is probably the wrong word for it though because I usually always learn something from them. Mistakes are a part of achieving successFool.
2. SOCIAL PROOF AND CREDIBILITY
I have to admit my first post of screenshots were to try and establish more credibility. There are hundreds if not thousands of “make money online” blogs. How do you know which guys are faking it and which ones are the real deal?
After I posted my previous screenshot there was a comment “… I have to admit I have browsed around your blog several times in the past, but you have my full attention now! I need to step up my efforts and this looks good.”
My point being that screenshots do help a blog get attention. Ultimately though it is the quality of your posts that will keep people returning. I’m an affiliate marketer and although I blog, I don’t really consider myself a “blogger.”
I still blog (on an inconsistent basis) because of the people connections I make. I’ve chatted with (online) some really cool people whom I probably would have never known had I not had this blog.
3. SCREENSHOTS OF REVENUE DON’T MEAN MUCH!
I could do the “fake it till you make it route” and pretend that I make $4,000 each and everyday. The following day my revenues dropped to $2700. Tomorrow they could possible drop to under $1,000. Yesterday I spent almost $2,000+ on one campaign where I ended up pretty much breaking even! If I pause that campaign my daily revenue could drop by thousands in one day.
Do you notice where I keep mentioning “revenue.” My actual profits were much smaller. I hope I do get to the point where I’m consistently making $1,000 or $2,000+ in profits each and everyday. At the time of this post, I’m not.
There are a lot of “make money online” bloggers doing the faking it route (not all). Sure they may have posted a screenshot of a Bajillion Billion Dollars (<-sarcasm) in revenue in one month but all that really means is that “may” have had a hot streak. It’s just a small snapshot in time. Some may still be making that kind of money but a lot of them are not.
———————————
When it comes to screenshots, I agree with the who-seems-to-be-a-super-cool-guy Andrew Wee (and has been waiting for me to get back with him for weeks). Part of his comment on CDF was:
IMO, showing your earnings from a single campaign can be useful for illustrating a case study. I’d certainly not show my income tax return, but showing a certain segment might be instructional and illustrative as per Robert Cialdini’s social proof principles.
There’s a different in showing figures/stats/hard data to impress UPON the audience certain principles, rather than merely impressing them alone.
I’d use revenue/profit generated in conjunction with other statistically meaningful data such as visitor numbers, conversion stats, which are useful reference data for new marketers.
By the way, Chad’s CDF NETWORKS blog is the highest quality no-fluff affiliate marketing blog I read. There are way too many affiliate marketing blogs that have a whole lot of fluff and very little real substance. You know what I mean. I’ve lacked on the substance myself lately and hope to improve that.
